2018年11月6日 舳倉島
11月からは島に滞在できる時間が１時間短くなり、渡りの最盛期もとっくに過ぎてはいますが、そんなタイミングならではの出会いを求めてまだまだ通います。
The main migration season is already finished, but there would be a chance to see some good birds in November.
今回は海鳥が非常に少なかったですが、行きの航路ではマガモの群れが渡っているのが見られました。
カルガモも２羽混じっています。
I saw a flock of Mallards with 2 Eastern Spot-billed Ducks from the ferry.
草地には冬羽のオオジュリンが２羽渡ってきていました。
2 Common Reed Buntings were in a grass field.
They breed in north part of Japan, and winter in our Kansai region.
観音堂の看板の上に、第一回冬羽のノビタキもいました。
昔から漁の無事を祈る島だったからか、舳倉島にはたくさんの神社があります。
A first winter Stejneger's Stonechat was on the sign of a shrine.
By the way, there are about 10 small shrines and temples in this small island to pray for safe fishery.
ミヤマホオジロは今回もたくさんいました。写真はメス。

There were a lot of Elegant Buntings around the island this time again.
イソヒヨドリ、オス第一回冬羽。本州以南のほとんどの場所で留鳥のイソヒヨドリですが、舳倉には旅鳥としてやってきます。

そして、今回一番嬉しかった鳥が上空に現れました。
空高く舞う、トラフズク。
Suddenly, the delighted moment has come.
A Long-eared Owl appeared over my head.
その直後、突然ハヤブサの若鳥がトラフズクに襲い掛かりました！
And then a young Peregrine Falcon attacked the Long-eared Owl in the sky!
１分ほどの時間でしたが、ハヤブサがモビングし続け、トラフズクは防戦一方でした。
The falcon kept mobbing the owl for about a minute.
最後はトラフズクの方が降下し、森に消えていきました。
本当に迫力のある、忘れられない光景でした！
Finally, the owl went into a nosedive and disappeared in the bush.
I felt the power of nature and it would be an unforgettable moment for me.
帰りの航路では、アカアシミズナギドリが見られました。
証拠写真にもなるかわかりませんが、舳倉航路では初めて見ました。
I saw a Flesh-footed Shearwater from the ferry on my way back.
This is the first time for me to see it from Hegura Ferry.
