2023年3月27日 舳倉島
今年も仕事と育児に追われて何度訪島できるかわかりませんが、ひとまず一回目はシーズン前の3月に渡ってきました。
I don't know how many times I can visit the island this year since I have been very busy with my work and fatherhood duties.
This is my first trip of this year in very early spring.
本来この時期は多いはずのウミスズメですが、今回は片道30羽ほどと、予想よりかなり少なかったです。
There were roughly 30 Ancient Murrelets each way, that was much fewer than expected at this time of year.
島の鳥は予想通り少なく、草原から一羽出てきたオオジュリン。
A Common Reed Bunting came out from the meadow.
There were few birds in the island as I could expect.
渡りが始まっているのか、越冬しているのか分かりませんが、亜種オオカワラヒワ。

C. s. kawarahiba which is our winter race, but I can't tell it is wintering in the island or middle of the migration.
数少ない島の留鳥であるハクセキレイ。
メス成鳥。
Female adult White Wagtail which is one of the few resident birds in the island.
ジョウビタキも渡り始めているのものの、当然まだまだ少なかったです。

A few of them were beginning to migrate.
こちらも渡りの始まりか、海岸にはコチドリが一羽いました。

An adult summer Little Ringed Plover was on the shore.
Obviously, the migration was just getting started.
