2020年9月9日、10日 舳倉島
天候が不安定だったため、今回は日帰りで2日間渡ってきました。
今までで1番早い秋の遠征となりましたが、まだまだ暑く、鳥の数、種類ともかなり少ないタイミングでした。
I made day trips on these 2 days, because the weather was unstable.
It was the earliest visit ever in autumn, and it was still so hot and there were a very fer number of birds.
島ではシギチは少ないですが、今は小鳥よりシギチのメインシーズンなので、数種類観察できました。
海岸を飛んでいた、チュウシャクシギ若鳥。
A juvenile Whimbrel was flying over the shore.
It was peak wader time, though we don't see so many in the island.
竜神池に降りていたアカエリヒレアシシギ若鳥。
A juvenile Red-necked Phalarope was on a rock in Ryujin Pond.
内陸にはあまり現れず、陸地に降りることも稀なので、こんなにゆっくり観察できたのは初めてでした。
It's pretty rare to see phalaropes are staying on the ground like this.
That's why, it was my first time to have enough time to take some good shots.
小鳥はまだまだ少なかったですが、エゾビタキだけはたくさんいました。
Grey-streaked Flycatcher was only one species that I saw plenty around the island.
2日間猛暑の中を歩き続けた結果、最後はなんとかアカマシコが出てきてくれました。

A young Common Rosefinch appeared after the 2days hard work.
離島ではスーパーレアとまではいかない鳥ですが、もちろん嬉しい出会いでした。
It is not a kind of super rare bird in the island, but good enough for me to see.
今回の航路では今年生まれの小さなトビウオがたくさん見られ、試しに写真を撮ってみたらどの個体もヒレの模様が違いました。
トビウオといっても20種類くらいいるらしく、個体差ではなく種類の違いではないかと、漁師である友人が教えてくれました。
This time I saw a lot of small flying fishes that were born this year, and then I found that there were several patterns on their fins.
A friend of mine who is a fisherman taught me that the difference of the patterns due to the difference of the species, and there are about 20 species of them.
It sounds fishes are more difficult than birds...
